Information we collect
Contact and identity details such as name, phone number, email, organisation and role.
Student information voluntarily supplied for counselling, which may include academic history, interests, preferences, budget, location, documents and application status.
Organisation and product data, authorised-user accounts, configuration, support messages and activity records.
Transaction references, invoice information and payment status. Full card details, UPI PINs and net-banking credentials are handled by the payment provider, not stored by CourseMitra.
Basic technical information needed for security and operation, such as IP address, browser/device type, timestamps and essential session data.
How we use information
To respond to enquiries, provide counselling or admission support, configure and operate software, deliver reports, process orders and provide customer support.
To personalise exploration using information a user chooses to provide and enable human counsellor review.
To send service updates and permitted communications, maintain security, prevent misuse, keep records and comply with law.
AI-assisted features
AI-assisted features may organise supplied information, identify possible pathways or support comparisons. Outputs are informational and may be incomplete or incorrect.
Important decisions should be reviewed with a qualified human and verified against current official sources. AI output is not an admission guarantee.
Consent and children
Where consent is the applicable basis, it may be withdrawn by contacting us without affecting processing already lawfully completed.
A parent or lawful guardian should provide or approve personal information and paid services for a minor where required. We do not knowingly seek unnecessary personal information from children.
Sharing and providers
We may share limited information with authorised staff, counsellors and providers supporting hosting, communications, payments, document delivery or customer support.
Information may be shared with a university, lender, government scheme, application platform or other third party at the user’s request, with authority, or where necessary for the selected service.
